SUMMARY:
The Grants Management Officer manages grantmaking operations and support the development and implementation of grantmaking processes, systems, and tools needed to track and manage Global Fund for Women’s grantmaking and engagement with gender justice movements. This position will be responsible for stewarding and accompanying applicants, grantees, and external stakeholders through Global Fund for Women’s grantmaking process, maintaining, and improving grantmaking and movement-focused systems and processes, and managing entire grantmaking portfolios. The Grants Management Officer – Fiscal Sponsorships specifically stewards our fiscal sponsorship partners and their grantees through our database and grantmaking processes and will work closely with the Equity & Engagement team that oversees our Fiscal Sponsorship Program.
 
Our Fiscal Sponsorship Program is a continuation of our commitment to foster gender justice movements and help sustain them by incubating newer feminist funds and providing the operational infrastructure needed to implement their grantmaking vision, philosophy, and approach. The Grants Management Officer reports to and is guided by the Director of Grants Management and is a member of the Global Operations Team.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Manage operations of fiscal sponsorship grantmaking portfolios, responsible for all grantmaking activities (from tracking funding sources and donor requirements/customizations to applications, due diligence, contracting, and payment, to reporting and closing a grant) with the goal to increase efficiency while ensuring compliance.
  2. Operationalize the vision and needs of our fiscal sponsorship grantmaking This includes participating in grantmaking timeline/strategy development, managing all grantmaking interactions with diverse stakeholders including applicants, grantees, fiscal sponsorship partners, Global Fund for Women staff, etc., evaluating their experience with Global Fund for Women’s processes, online tools, and communications, and making necessary improvements and modifications.
  3. Collate and analyze learnings across grantmaking portfolios and contexts to make recommendations for new initiatives and improve our grantmaking policies, system, and procedures, while ensuring that we stay aligned across different initiatives.
  4. Support Process & Systems team in systems design and improvements to ensure internal grantmaking database and external online communities are aligned with Global Fund for Women’s vision and strategy.
  5. Design and provide grantmaking training to fiscal sponsorship partners and other stakeholders to ensure they have the expertise they need to succeed.
  6. Provide accurate and timely grantmaking data to internal and external stakeholders by building customized Salesforce reports and dashboards and analyzing grantmaking portfolios in partnership with the Learning, Evaluation, and Analytics
  7. Other duties that may be assigned, including non-fiscal sponsorship
