Develop The Hurra Coalition Strategic Plan 2024-2029 and the coalition’s mission, vision and objectives.
The specific scope of work by the Consultant includes the following:
- Review Hurra coalition objectives and membership criteria.
- Undertake stakeholder mapping and analysis;
- Undertake a situation analysis of Hurra campaigns and activities to date;
- Hold consultative sessions and interviews with Hurra members, partners and other strategic partners.
- Through a consultative process and application of appropriate tools of analysis, identify focus areas, develop strategic objectives and key result areas for the Hurra coalition;
- Develop the Hurra coalition mandate; its purpose, vision, and mission.
- Assess the Coalition’s capacity and develop its governance, structure, financial and administrative systems based on the identified strategic objectives and key result areas;
- Propose an implementation and monitoring plan for achieving the strategic objectives and key results;
- Develop a Results and Resources Framework for the plan period.
- Make presentations to the Hurra Secretariat (i.e. Equality Now) on the Strategic Plan, prior to the annual Hurra meeting. Incorporate Equality Now’s feedback in the revised draft Plan.
- Maintain regular and consultative meetings with the Hurra Secretariat.
- Facilitate the Hurra Coalition Annual Strategic Planning Meeting that will be held in July 2024.
- Finalize the Strategic plan and submit it to the Hurra Secretariat held by Equality Now.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Delivery of a comprehensive strategic plan for the coalition in Arabic.
- Facilitation of the Annual strategic planning meeting.
- Online meetings with stakeholders and coalition members.
- Consistent follow up and coordination with EN MENA team and the Hurra coalition secretariat.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning for organizations, coalitions and/or parties in the context of the MENA region.
- Solid knowledge about feminist movement building in the MENA region, Women Rights Organizations and International Human Rights standards.
- 10-15 years of Experience working in the field of Gender Equality, Gender Justice and Empowerment.
- Excellent research, analytical, conceptual, writing and editing skills and use of computer software;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking and advocacy skills; existing strong networks is an advantage.
- Ability to effectively manage priorities and time and meet deadlines;
- Demonstrated competency in planning and setting goals.
- Fluency in Arabic is a must and a good command of English is preferred
