Description of Organization: These positions are located within IPI. IPI integrates technical expertise with values-driven, cross-cutting priorities, and modern approaches to the way USAID performs its work. It provides client-centered technical services to USAID’s Missions worldwide, supports programming to innovate, learn, and address emerging issues, and provides technical leadership within the Agency and externally to enhance development impact. In alignment with the Bureau’s mandate, GEWE provides strategic leadership and technical assistance for the integration of gender into USAID’s work across sectors.

Qualifications: To qualify for the position, Program Officer (Gender-based Violence Advisor), you must possess the required specialized experience specific to the series and grade you are applying to.
Specialized Experience: For the FL-02, you must have one year of specialized experience at the FL-03 (GS-13) grade level or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as:

- Designing and implementing gender-based violence (GBV) analysis activities, monitoring plans, evaluations, or international development programming;
- Addressing GBV across development sectors with an emphasis on field-based efforts;
- Implementing GBV technical support, capacity building, and training to a range of audiences and participants;
- Collaboratively developing, implementing, and supporting the dissemination of strategies to promote uptake of learning, recommendations and tools;
- Providing technical guidance to contractors that develop this work; monitoring deliverables and coordinating staff input to the same; disseminating final products; and administrative, contract, and grant financial management.
IPI is seeking candidates with strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills as well as demonstrated technical experience.
