Political participation
We are looking for a responsible Junior Researcher to professionally perform tasks related to public policy research and support for policy delivery.
 
PPMI (part of the Verian Group) is a leading European research and policy analysis centre. We help public sector and civil society leaders from around the world, presenting evidence in a way that is simple, clear and ready to use. We provide actionable insights, develop shared understanding among stakeholders, and enable policy implementation to bring about positive and lasting change.
 
You would be joining a team of dedicated and experienced researchers currently focusing on the field of Gender, Equality and Diversity. Here are some of our ongoing studies to explore:
  • Study to Review the Implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action in the EU – Beijing +30
  • Equality mainstreaming screening and training
 
BE READY TO CHALLENGE YOURSELF
You should be ready to participate in the following research and organisational activities:
  • Conducting literature reviews and data gathering (e.g. carrying out semi-structured interviews), analysing and reporting from an equality perspective both on qualitative and quantitative descriptive data.
  • Synthesizing information from various sources and preparing content for various outputs (e.g. reports, factsheets, policy briefs, practical guidance)
  • Assisting in expert management.
  • Working with and being supported by PPMI’s team experienced in various public policy areas. 
 
COME PREPARED
A successful candidate will have:
  • Strong interest in EU Gender, Equality and Diversity priorities and policies and an understanding of EU policy landscape.
  • Familiarity with EU institutions and EU-level policymaking processes.
  • Understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods in social sciences.
  • Full English proficiency and excellent writing skills.
  • Rigorous and creative analytical reasoning.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in gender studies, public policy, political science, sociology or related fields in the social sciences.
  • Working experience in policy analysis (either practical working experience or academic experience gained while implementing research projects) would be an advantage.
