YOUR MISSION
You are mainly supporting our work on Feminist Foreign Policy, by assisting our advocacy work towards an increase in Official Development Assistance dedicated to gender equality and women’s rights, especially funding for progressive, intersectional feminist organizations in the Global South. Ultimately, this work aims at contributing to inclusive foreign policies that champion gender equality, and thus boosting the adoption and implementation of Feminist Foreign Policies (FFPs) and gender equality.
The student assistant will join the project team and be mainly responsible for the social media communications component in close collaboration with the advocacy lead. In addition, the student assistant will support the development of various project deliverables and take on administrative functions across the advocacy, research, and network-building components of the project.
Concretely, the Student Assistant will be tasked with:
- In collaboration with the advocacy lead, draft social media content, including posts, visuals, stories, and infographics in accordance with the branding and communications guidelines of CFFP
- Contribute to the elaboration of a communications campaign and liase with service providers.
- Assist with documenting key milestones, impact metrics, and testimonials.
- Support with the planning and logistical arrangements of events, meetings, and workshops related to the project.
- Manage calendars, schedules, and appointments for project-related activities.
- Compile and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and other relevant documents.
- Carry out background desk research and scoping analysis for project deliverables.
- Provide ad hoc administrative support for the project as needed.
YOUR PROFILE
- Currently enrolled as a university student;
- Exceptional commitment to social change and a can-do attitude as well as interest in working for a young feminist start-up with a very flexible and sometimes spontaneous work schedule;

- Proven experience in social media management or communications as well as administrative support;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Wordpress, Canva;
- Previous experience in event coordination is a strong plus;
- Strong organisational skills, ability to multitask;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills;
- Strong time management, and ability and willingness to meet rapid, multiple deadlines in a fast-paced team-oriented environment;
- A proven understanding of international relations/politics, in particular with regard to the work of the so-called anti-gender actors within Europe and beyond; and EU peace and security policies is a strong plus.
- Fluency in English (German/French/Dutch is a strong plus).
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
