Value for Women is looking for a Senior Strategic Initiatives Lead who will work with the best talent in the industry and learn from a diverse mix of critical thinkers and problem solvers. We work across a variety of fields, including impact investing, financial inclusion, gender lens investing, inclusive entrepreneurship, sustainable energy, and sustainable agriculture.
The Senior Strategic Initiatives Lead is responsible for designing, promoting, managing and resourcing Value for Women’s Strategic Initiatives. This includes leading the design of the initiatives, identifying and cultivating key implementation and funding partnerships, overseeing programme implementation, and coordinating efforts for outreach, communications and visibility of these programmes globally. The role includes building complex, effective, multi-layered strategic initiatives designed for impact and scalability.
Specific responsibilities will also include:

Specific responsibilities will also include:

Defining the new frontier for gender and social inclusion en masse. Design and implement VfW’s brand new, global, flagship initiatives that aim to scale SME, investor and financial organisation’s access to learning, exchange, support, tools, data and knowledge needed to drive concrete actions for inclusion. (All three initiatives are at different stages of early design/pilot):
- Design programmes with the leadership team and a broader set of stakeholders
- Fundraise for these programmes
- Communicate programmes with clarity and impact to diverse audiences
- Lead the business planning periodically, with inputs from the Senior Management
- Utilise innovative solutions and relevant digital avenues to ensure strategic initiatives meet required business outcomes
- Ensure and guide the tracking of results and impact achieved over time in line with organisational MEL processes
- Drive the partnerships strategy: Identifies, builds, cultivates and manages strategic partnerships (funding partners, implementation partners, ecosystem and community of practice partnerships, and others) to deliver Strategic Initiatives globally

Hub: Works with a team to implement the “Inclusive Action Hub” pilot
- Design and implement a global community of practice
- Sets strategic learning activities and agendas; drives activities with support from the Hub technical delivery team
- Promote and feed into global communication efforts for visibility and user adoption; Lead a global mass communications campaign to reach thousands of MSMEs
