Deliver against our commitment to bold, demanding and culture-changing
communications which provide everyone with a better way to talk about periods,
retaining our trailblazer status and changing the bloody culture.
Work with the Head of Communications & Campaigns / interim consultant to:
● Develop our communications strategy; continuously striving to be culture-changing and
centring the voice and experience of all women and people who bleed
● Champion and strengthen our brand identity, amplifying and growing it through our channels
● Deliver our core messaging, content production and the management of our on- and off-line channels (social, web, email, press, events)
● Manage our media relations, acting not only as our first point of contact, but building new opportunities to maximise our media presence
Work with the Head of Communications and Campaigns, plus freelance support, to deliver our communications strategy for both Bloody Good Period and Bloody Good Employers. This includes:
● Social media strategy and management
● Production of high quality, on-brand content for paid and organic social media, website,
advertising, reports, training materials, presentations and other public-facing
communications. This should be across both written and visual communications.
● Proactive management of the BGP and BGE websites
Event management and production
● Work with freelance support to manage our flagship events, Bloody Funny and Bloody Good Music, to ensure they are on brand, highly organised in line with all legal and governance requirements, and deliver against BGP objectives (which include income, brand and reputation and relationship building)
● Work with the Fundraising Manager to maximise the fundraising potential of events
● Develop and lead a process for BGP’s participation in /presence at other events e.g.
panel events, workshops, etc.
Ambassador relationships
● Support the CEO in managing relationships with BGP ambassadors to ensure they are mutually beneficial, values-based and in support of the organisation’s objectives
● Seek out new ambassador relationships in support of the BGP strategy.
Other
● Contribute to overall BGP strategy, taking an active part in the management and direction of BGP
● Represent the organisation where needed
● Undertake any other duties deemed commensurate with this post as directed by the CEO and senior managers, including deputising when needed

● Strong experience in communications, with demonstrable experience of delivering stand-out, on-brand comms for a comparable organisation, across a good spread of the areas outlined in the JD, plus willingness to learn and develop in other areas of comms.
● Excellent project management experience and team working skills
● Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
● Ability to manage a range of projects with competing priorities
● Ability to see the ‘big picture’ while still being able to deliver work and ‘in the detail/when needed
● Great relationship management, interpersonal and networking skills
