About Our Streets Now
Our Streets Now is the national campaign tackling Public Sexual Harassment. We believe that women, girls and marginalised genders deserve to feel safe and be safe in public spaces, a goal that is currently far from the truth. Two years ago, we began working with schools and colleges, offering a programme of workshops and training on understanding and responding to harassment. From this year, we will also be offering a harassment in sports specific programme to gyms and an offer for workplaces.

The key purpose of this role is to expand the number of delivery contracts that we have with educational institutions, particularly academy chains and colleges. However, part of this role will also involve advising on refining and marketing our package for workplaces and gyms. We are a small and relatively new team, so this role would best suit someone who is confident to work independently and create new systems, rather than working in an existing framework.

Key Outcomes
● Increased uptake of Our Streets Now education programmes and offerings in schools, colleges, academy trusts and other educational institutions
● A comprehensive outreach and business development strategy created and implemented
● New processes established to sustain ongoing outreach efforts beyond the consultancy term

Core Responsibilities
● Identify and actively build relationships with priority schools, colleges, academy trusts and other educational institutions
● Secure education programme contracts by effectively pitching offerings and value to these contacts
● Create and execute a sales and outreach strategy for the team
● Provide guidance on social media and written materials such as flyers
● Support on developing and refining new programme offers for workplaces and gyms

We recognise that your experience may be from unpaid roles as well as formal employment. ● Understanding of and commitment to Our Streets Now’s stances and values including intersectionality, anti-racism and trans-inclusivity
● Experience working in or with educational institutions
● Strong knowledge of how educational institutions work, including academy chains,
LA maintained schools, private schools, colleges and teacher training colleges

● Familiarity with issues related to gender-based violence and public sexual harassment
● Strong networking and interpersonal skills
● Ability to persuasively communicate value of programmes
