Economic justice Movement building
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  
•       Working closely with the Africa Regional Platform GJ lead, the WeCare programme manager, the OGB VWW workstream lead and advisors, and the wider decolonial feminist economic justice community, to lead on the delivery of the Feminist economic justice/VWW/GJ/HP visions regarding content, method and practicing the culture and values that are core to the decolonial feminist leadership. 
•       Ensure personal action plans and priorities deliver agreed Africa Regional Platform/OGB VWW/OI GJ strategy impact objectives and consider options, risks, resources, competing prioritise, timescales etc. 
•       Ensure delivery of thought-leadership and external influencing in the area of decolonial feminist economic alternatives/movement building, across the Africa Regional Platform, and identifying strategic relationships and collaborations with like-minded external organisations, in line with the agreed influencing and thought leadership VWW/OI GJ Fem Econ Justice agendas. 
•       Provide specialist advice and specific skills, specifically in relation to two or more of the following:  (i) feminist movement building, collective voice, organising, influencing and active citizenship in relation to public provisioning (tax, social protection, services, infrastructure investment) and rights that centre women informal and unpaid workers (ii) feminist decolonial economic alternatives including beyond GDP/ metrics (iii) alternative social norms and narratives around women informal work/ers in the economy as a means of moving to alternative feminist economic systems.   
•       Model and provide feminist leadership development, facilitation and peer to peer support capacity strengthening support through training, mentoring, coaching, advising to programme teams and countries and partners. 
•       Build relationships, engagement and investment in feminist economic justice/care and VWW in the subregions (esp West Africa), working closely also with countries and affiliates, Oxfam International programme leads and also connecting gender and economic justice agendas learning and communities. 
•       Undertake business development, proposal writing and fundraising in conjunction with the Africa Regional Platform, country partners and the engagement team at OGB (Africa and UK based). 
•       Support a coordinated OGB approach to Africa country advisory services across the VWW PIE team and the Africa Regional Platform more broadly. 

Experience, Knowledge & Competencies 

•       Strong technical experience and understanding of, and commitment to, women’s economic justice and alternative feminist decolonial economic systems 
•       Strong technical knowledge, from southern feminist decolonial perspective and experience of having worked in contexts of influencing focused programming, in one of the following areas:  
  • A) women informal and unpaid care workers: rights and related public and / or corporate policies, unionisation including home based, representation and collective bargaining   
  • B) feminist fiscal justice/macro economy/care economy: fiscal justice and budget accountability including around tax, social protection, services and infrastructure, debt, austerity, feminist economic data, metrics and indicator frameworks, southern feminist economic leadership and activism 
  • C) social and economic norms, narratives and the interplay between them, in relation to women’s work and in diverse contexts, as well as behaviour change and narrative shift strategies in support of building radical alternative decolonial feminist economic justice futures. 
•        Working knowledge of French and English is essential for this role.
