Movement building
Supporting Colleagues:
- Mentor and support a diverse team of professionals and foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and impact.
- Manage the process of a transition to matrixed staff planning and collaboration where key professionals are contributing to several work streams and initiatives with colleagues of different levels being in lead roles.
- Be responsible for creating the process for team performance and mutual accountability, and responsiveness to partners and stakeholders.
Influence and Thought Leadership:
- Advocate for gender responsive SRHR policies at national, regional, and global levels through the work in the issue areas.
- Amplify the voices of Emerging Leaders and partners in advocacy efforts.
- Provide creative leadership within and outside the organization to drive progress and impact in these areas.
- Engage internally and externally as a feminist leader, supporting WD’s decolonization process.
Technical Support and Learning:
- Oversee the design, planning, implementation, and reviews for all three workstreams and the three issue areas.
- Ensure that each workstream and issue area has an effective and appropriate Outcome Framework.
- Support gathering data for monitoring and reporting to ensure accountability to key stakeholders.
- Support using insights to drive continuous learning and moments of reflection and planning.
- Support colleagues to develop and implement strategies to mobilize resources, including funding, for issue area activities.
Building Partnership and Engaging Stakeholders:
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with leaders, advocates, policymakers, and organizations directly impacted by the work in the issue areas.
- Cultivate relationships with donors and partners to support the financial sustainability of these initiatives. • Represent Women Deliver at relevant forums, conferences, and events and in media where needed.
Candidate Profile
Supporting and Mentoring:
- Experience in mentoring and supporting a diverse team of professionals, fostering collaboration, and achieving results will be necessary.
- Experience with matrixed and collaborative management will be of great value.
Collaborating with Partners and Stakeholders:
- Strong ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to motivate, inspire partners and to effectively managing the collective actions.
Advocacy and Policy Knowledge:
- Amazing advocacy skills, ability to influence global policy, standards and norms.
- Knowing how to navigate the global gender equality landscape.
Resource Mobilization:
- Experience in fundraising, and resource mobilization especially with institutional fundraising, including securing major grants from ODA governments and large foundations.
Impact Measurement and Learning:
- Experience in using various approaches to tracking, measuring initiative outcomes and impacts.
- A real desire for learning in order to be more effective.
Communicating with others:
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a variety of different audiences – from activities to member state governments and donors is necessary.
- Being a great writer would be a big asset, but being competent in Women Delivers internal working language (English) is a must.

- Particularly with a passion for advancing gender equality, girls’ and women’s rights, and comprehensive SRHR.
