LGBT Foundation is looking for a Trans Women’s Group Facilitator to deliver LGBT Foundation’s new monthly social group for trans women. This group will be a sessional led group creating a safe, monthly social space for trans women. The aims of this group are to provide a chance for trans women to socialise and develop new connections, as well as improving confidence and skills through occasional workshops.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To plan group content based on the wants and needs of the group inc planning activities or researching potential external facilitators for workshops
  • To deliver evening social group sessions inc. setting up before and tidying up after
  • To collect feedback and contribute to ideas for group development, and communicate these to the Women’s Programme Coordinator
  • To challenge where group dynamics are fixed/unhelpful or where group agreements are not adhered to.
  • Be part of a team of facilitators sharing the responsibility of running the groups.
  • To report any safeguarding concerns and use the LGBT Foundation safeguarding policy and process.
  • To assist in promoting the group both through our website and social media channels and within physical spaces.

We are taking positive action to encourage applications from people of colour (PoC) and other racially minoritised communities, trans, non-binary and/or older people (aged 50+), to improve the representation of colleagues from these communities in our staff team.

Salary: £15.87 per hour
Hours: Sessional - expectation of 4 hours per month
