Health
Technical Leadership of FP/RMH programs:
- Work closely with Ministry of Health in implementing scale-up strategies for Family Planning and Reproductive Maternal Health
- Organize capacity building and mentorship of health providers on FP/RMH
- Support FP/RMH quality improvement efforts in focus counties
- Lead the development and implementation of annual work plans and budgets for FP/RMH programs, ensuring donor priorities are addressed and contract/budget compliance is achieved. Ensure the timely implementation of work plans and budgets according to the proposed annual work plans
- Lead progress reviews and the formation of and implementation of action plans while ensuring that all program milestones and deliverables are met
- Work with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) staff to generate and document data, conduct data analysis and document results to guide future implementation
- Oversee preparation of activity, quarterly and annual reports in collaboration with other team members
- Manage programmatic financial aspects of FP/RMH programs ensuring compliance with ICRHK and donor financial rules and regulations
- Act as the primary contact for communications for FP/RMH programs to the donors and other program stakeholders
- Represent FP/RMH program interests and present program progress, achievements and lessons learned to key stakeholders and implementing partners through meetings, conferences, technical working groups and other fora
- Forge and maintain strong working relationships with Ministry of Health, as well as other FP/RMH implementing partners/CSOs and donors
Thought leadership/Knowledge Management of the FP/RMH thematic area:
- Demonstrate technical expertise on the current and emerging priorities on FP/RMH and ensure key learning is shared within the organization
- Engage externally to represent ICRHK and demonstrate technical expertise, capacity, and experience in FP/RMH
- Lead publications (policy briefs, manuscripts on FP/RMH including providing mentorship and support to other staff who are writing FP/RMH manuscripts)
Business Development:
- Support new business development initiatives including conceptualizing, writing and reviewing proposals
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor and ICRHK management
Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications
- Degree in Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Public Health or a related field with 5 years of continuous FP/RMH program RMH/ midwifery hands-on experience will be a distinct advantage
- Experience in establishing and sustaining working relationships with the Ministry of Health at national, county, sub-county and health providers at facility level
- Experience supporting development of national documents including guidelines, strategies
- Demonstrated experience in conducting clinical training in FP/RH and mentoring health providers at multiple levels of the health care system is essential
- Significant and up to date knowledge of the current FP/RMH guidelines, standards, tools and best Up to date knowledge of general FP/RMH management is a pre-requisite
- Demonstrated programming, management and technical skills
- Experience in Knowledge Management will be an added advantage
- Certified to work in Good Clinical Practices environment is an added advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and interact with diverse stakeholders,,
- Proficiency with the following software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), EndNote, or other citation software.
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills required.
