Organization Overview
The Africa Center for Health Systems and Gender Justice is an organization committed to enhancing health systems and advancing gender justice throughout Africa. The center focuses on the social, economic, and cultural factors that contribute to unequal health outcomes for different genders and works to promote gender-responsive healthcare and gender-inclusive policies. We are currently looking for passionate and dedicated interns to join our team in various specialized roles. We are deeply committed to feminism and its core principles. Key Responsibilities:
● Research Support: Assist in researching various aspects of gender-based violence, including prevalence, impact, and survivor support mechanisms.
● Data Collection and Analysis: Participate in the gathering and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data related to GBV.
● Literature Reviews: Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research projects and help identify gaps in current knowledge.
● Policy Analysis: Assist in analyzing policies related to GBV prevention and response, both locally and internationally. Report Writing: Contribute to the preparation of research reports, briefs, and presentations.
● Community Engagement: Engage with stakeholders and community members to gather insights and feedback on GBV issues.

Educational Requirements:
● Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Public Health, or a related field with a focus on GBV.

Skills and Qualifications:
● Strong interest in and commitment to addressing GBV issues.
● Basic knowledge of research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
● Good writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data analysis software.
● Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
● Cultural sensitivity and an empathetic approach to GBV topics.
