What you’ll do
· Lead the execution of the WeCode Program, an innovative ecosystem-level initiative designed to promote the growth of Women-Led/Owned Businesses (WSMEs) in the Dominican Republic. In this role, you will spearhead the implementation of comprehensive capacity-building programs and strategic dissemination knowledge and activities. Your responsibilities will involve engaging with a diverse array of stakeholders, including the financial association, policymakers, financial institutions, and other key players.
· Oversee third-party consultants with a focus on ensuring the punctual delivery of high quality outcomes, including technical workshops, technical notes, knowledge and communications products. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will play a pivotal role in maintaining the standard of deliverables IDB Invest expects and contributing to the overall success of the WeCode.
· Efficiently manage project milestones, activities, budget, and responsibilities with a keen focus on precision and effectiveness. In this role, you will be at the forefront of project management, orchestrating key elements such as milestones and activities, while maintaining the budget on track and third-party consultants accountable for their tasks.
· Maintain clear and effective communication at a high level with pertinent stakeholders to ensure that the project consistently meets deliverables. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering transparent and fluent communication channels with WeCode stakeholders. Your ability to articulate project progress, problem-solving, address concerns, and gather valuable feedback will play a pivotal role in steering the project towards its intended goals.
· Support the team's WeFi reporting efforts, knowledge products, dissemination efforts (i.e. events, webinars, panel discussions, knowledge exchange programs, etc.), and GDI activities.
· Work collectively with IDB Invest Investment Officers and clients, particularly in the financial sector to develop advisory solutions that meet WeCode's requirement and improve the access to credit for women entrepreneurs.
· Identify and proactively pursue opportunities for scaling and replicating the WeCode initiative in additional countries in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. In this role, you will play a strategic part in recognizing potential avenues for expansion and establishing partnerships to replicate the success of the WeCode initiative on a regional scale.
What you'll need
· Education: You hold at least a master's degree, MBA, or equivalent degree in economics, international development, public and/or international affairs, finance, business administration, human resources, communications, engineering, or any relevant field.
· Experience: At least ten (10) years of professional relevant experience in the field of diversity and inclusion in private sector companies, consultancies, or development institutions
· Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
