Leadership Movement building Political participation
Content Strategy and Calendar Development:
  • Construct a detailed monthly content calendar for each platform (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok and
  • YouTube) incorporating Nalafem’s key messaging pillars and six flagship projects, 
  • Regularly update the content plan to ensure alignment with evolving campaign goals and organizational milestones.

Content Creation and Management:
  • Generate and refine micro-content (e.g., memes, GIFs, tweets) and macro-content (e.g., blog posts, newsletter articles, video scripts) in collaboration with the social media team and graphic designer
  • Employ content scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Iconosquare, Metricool) to ensure consistent and timely posting across all platforms.
  • Maintain a rigorous posting schedule, with a minimum of one post per day on each platform, pending review and approval.

Event Coverage and Content Production:
  • Engage in live coverage of various Nalafem events, both online and offline, to source multimedia content, including photos, videos, and quotes, that captures the essence of each event.
  • Create compelling video/vlog/audio content, showing proficiency and confidence in on-camera presentations and voiceovers.
  • Edit and refine video content to meet Nalafem's quality standards and brand voice.

Asset Management:
  •  Organize and maintain an accessible library of photos, videos, and design templates to streamline the content creation process.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Conduct quarterly social media analytics assessments to track and analyze metrics such as reach, engagement, and impressions.
  • Proactively identify trends, gather community feedback, and adapt content strategies to drive growth and improve engagement.

Growth and Engagement:
  • Develop innovative engagement strategies to grow Nalafem’s social media presence by 30-40% within a six-month timeframe, particularly focusing on:
  • Instagram: Increase followers through visually compelling content, interactive stories, and reels
  • Facebook: Expand our community through targeted campaigns, group discussions, and live Q&A sessions.
  • LinkedIn: Strengthen professional networking and thought leadership through articles, event highlights, and company updates.
  • Twitter: Enhance engagement through timely tweets, strategic use of hashtags, and participation in trending conversations.
  • Tiktok: Increase followers through visually compelling videos

Professional Development and Adaptation:
  • Stay informed about the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep Nalafem’s content strategy ahead of the curve.
  • Support Expectations:
  • Collaborate with a team to brainstorm and refine content ideas.
  • Receive timely feedback and design support from the team to optimize content.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Demonstrated experience and track record in social media management and content creation 
  • Experience with social media applications and platforms, basic photo-editing and video-editing skills and softwares such as Canva;
  • Familiarity and facility with mainstream social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and Tiktok;
  • Good copywriting, proofreading and editing skills;
  • Understanding of digital platforms and familiarity with remote working environments specifically Slack, Canva, Asana, including adaptability with different time zones;
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and one more language (French, Arabic, Kiswahili will be an advantage) 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to write and produce documents under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel whenever necessary
