- Actively engage with online audiences through Nalafem digital channels: Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp, LinkedIn, Facebook.
- Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions as well as communicating with followers, responding to queries in a timely manner and monitoring reviews. Engage in conversations wherever Nalafem is mentioned or where there is a comment on Nalafem pages
Strategy Development
- Develop and implement a community management strategy & build the brand visibility of Nalafem Gather and relay community feedback to refine engagement strategies.
- Support in implementing the overall social media strategy to increase engagement and followers.
Brand Visibility and Growth
- Grow Nalafem’s social media following through various community engagement strategies by 30-40% in 6 months. Organize various community-building initiatives to cultivate and grow participation in community forums.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Conduct regular analysis of community metrics.
- Create and expand a Facebook group dedicated to gender information and discussions, fostering a supportive community.
- Actively promote Nalafem's Facebook page and group as authoritative sources for gender-related information in Africa.
- Generate awareness for facebook page and group as the credible platforms for gender information in Africa. Work to increase the number of likes and followers of the Facebook page by at least 50% from the initial notice date.
TWITTER (X)
- Actively manage the Nalafem Twitter community by responding to queries, moderating and removing spam comments, and refining tweet content to maintain a high-quality, informative presence.
- Organize and facilitate monthly Twitter Spaces on topics relevant to Nalafem's mission and community growth, encouraging dialogue and engagement among followers.
- Strategically promote Nalafem's Twitter handle as a trusted source for gender-related information in Africa, enhancing its credibility and reach.
- Actively foster a supportive and interactive community by initiating and moderating discussions, sharing relevant updates, and engaging members in dialogue to create a vibrant group atmosphere.
- Disseminate important announcements, articles, and resources relevant to the community's interests. Ensure that content shared is timely, accurate, and aligns with Nalafem’s mission and objectives.
- Establish Nalafem’s LinkedIn groups, creating a platform for discussions and networking focused on gender equality and women's empowerment in Africa.
- Actively engage group members by initiating and facilitating relevant discussions.
- Implement strategies to grow membership with professionals interested in Nalafem’s mission.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Demonstrated experience and track record in social media management and content creation;
Knowledge of relevant influencers and previous experience in engaging influencers to promote content;
Familiarity and facility with mainstream social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and Tiktok;
Good copywriting, proofreading and editing skills;s;
Fluent in English (written and spoken) and one more language (French, Arabic, Kiswahili will be an advantage)
Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to write and produce documents under tight deadlines.
Willingness and ability to travel whenever necessary
