About the Role
We are looking to hire 2 interns in a part-time capacity to support our teams across the two verticals of people power and just institutions as well. The role will require research, writing, and operational support. You can know more about the two verticals below:
About the People Power Vertical
Catalysing people power is imperative to achieving social justice and thereby ensuring people have access to a life of safety, dignity and belongingness. Catalysing people power requires us to commit to caring for ourselves and others, unlearning the harmful within us and committing to working with others whilst holding them to account towards creating a more just world. People power is catalysed by us through healing, repair and justice for those who have been harmed; transformation of those who have caused harm; civic literacy efforts to challenge indifference and apathy; and by building communities within which our potential for leading change can be realised.
About the Just Institutions Vertical
Social institutions shape our social realities and reproduce social inequalities. For people and communities to access a life of safety, dignity and belongingness, we need socially just institutions. Building socially just institutions requires the provision of timely, relevant insights, advocacy that holds institutions accountable and working with willing institutions towards transformation for a more just world. Just institutions are built by us through generating timely knowledge, tools and insights that analyse and establish trends and priorities in social justice; advocacy efforts that hold institutions and systems accountable, enabling narrative, policy-legal or institutional changes; and by working directly with institutions.
