Objective and Purpose of the Assignment
The consultant(s) is expected to deliver a regional curriculum which includes but not limited to:
• “The Green products/services” including waste and pollution management, resource replacement, sustainable design, and adaptive reuse, i.e. reducing the use of printed materials, increased ‘recycling, using eco-friendly grocery and lunch bags, and prohibiting the use of bottled water, plastic in the workplace, usage of green organic materials for example women working in cosmetics.
• “The Green Workforce” including Human Resource strategies, culture, recruiting and retention, training, career path development, and diversity i.e. minimum use of paper and printed materials in recruitment, training and development, and performance appraisal.
• “The Green Workplace,” including locations, physical plants, ergonomics, virtual workplaces, green buildings, and energy-saving green devices can be used in the workplace.
• “The Green Function/Process Model,” including sustainability applied to traditional functions, enterprise-wide green process modelling to incorporate green practices and sustainable-management, as well as promoting the green transition throughout the supply chain.
• “Green Management and Governance Principles,” including board and management accountability, sustainability test, compliance, incentives, ethics, reporting, and assurance.
The Consultant(s) will also be expected to deliver Train the trainers sessions to the selected trainers.
Expected deliverables
The Consultant(s) shall deliver a curriculum constituted of a trainers and trainees manual to be ultimately delivered to enterprises all together or as separate modules in 4 days. Content shall be produced in English.
The specific deliverables based on ILO and EBRD programmes referenced in this ToR are as follows:
• Review the ILO documents including ILO tools and programmes referenced in this ToRs.
• An outline of the curriculum (trainers and trainees manual), as per the requirements of this ToRs.
• Following the finalization of the curriculum concept, outline and structure, incorporating ILO comments, the curriculum (trainers and trainees manual) is drafted combining both the theoretical and practical material.
• A pilot implementation of the curriculum with the employers’ organization in Tunisia will be conducted. Based on this pilot’s results, the curriculum (trainers and trainees manual) shall be adjusted accordingly.
• Final version of the curriculum is developed ensuring a full, coherent programme that will be gender-sensitive and interdisciplinary; this includes preparing for and attending preparatory and follow-up meetings when required.
• Regional or national validation workshop(s) (online or physical) is attended and facilitated with employers’ organizations from the three countries.
Qualifications
• Proposed professional(s) for the work must hold master’s degree in Higher Education curriculum development and other related fields.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in curriculum and/or materials development for university students’ training programs with an emphasis on enterprises adapted curriculum creation, green economy, green business development. Solid knowledge on the intersection between gender equality and the environment is an asset.
• Experience as a team leader in review activities related to curriculum development.
• Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing green educational/training programs.
• Demonstrated excellent writing and oral skills in English. French or Arabic are also preferable.
