Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development:
    Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for non-market outcomes within the Graduation Approach program, aligned with our overall goals and objectives. Integrate gender-sensitive approaches and promote gender equality within households through targeted interventions.
  • Impact Measurement: Establish robust mechanisms to measure and track non-market outcomes, including improved health and nutrition, enhanced social inclusion, increased empowerment, and gender equality within households. Design and implement data collection processes to capture relevant indicators and analyze the impact of interventions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with beneficiaries, community leaders, local authorities, and partner organizations to drive the non-market outcomes agenda. Foster partnerships and build strong relationships to ensure effective implementation and alignment with community needs, with a specific focus on promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.
  • Capacity Building: Identify the capacity-building needs of program staff and develop tailored training programs to enhance their understanding and skills in delivering non-market outcomes, particularly in the context of gender sensitization and empowerment. Provide guidance and support to ensure the effective implementation of gender-responsive interventions.
  • Program Monitoring and Evaluation: Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the progress and impact of non-market outcomes. Use a data-driven approach to measure the effectiveness of interventions, gather insights, and make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Advocacy: Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories related to non-market outcomes, particularly in promoting gender equality and addressing gender-based discrimination. Actively participate in relevant forums and networks to advocate for the importance of non-market outcomes and gender mainstreaming in poverty alleviation efforts.
  • Gender Sensitization and Equality: Demonstrate a deep understanding of gender dynamics, gender-based discrimination, and the importance of promoting gender equality within households. Incorporate gender-sensitive approaches in the design and implementation of non-market outcome interventions, ensuring the empowerment and inclusion of women and marginalized gender groups.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on gender sensitization and gender equality within the organization and externally. Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and policies related to gender issues and integrate them into program strategies and activities. Provide guidance and training to staff members on gender mainstreaming and ensure the integration of gender perspectives across all program components.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Gender Studies.
  • Minimum of 6-9 years of progressive experience in program management, preferably in poverty alleviation or social development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the graduation approach, non-market outcomes, and the significance of gender equality and gender-sensitive interventions.
  • Proven track record in successfully leading and implementing programs focused on non-market outcomes, with a demonstrated impact on the target population.
  • In-depth knowledge of gender sensitization, gender mainstreaming, and addressing gender-based discrimination.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and evidence to drive decision-making and measure program impact.
