Youth Gender equality and Social inclusion (GESI)
Position Responsibilities:  
The GEYSI Specialist will provide overall technical guidance related to gender and inclusion-responsive programming for women, youth, and other vulnerable populations under the FTF IA2F Activity. They will be responsible for reviewing how GEYSI indicators are integrated into annual work planning, train staff on GEYSI, and holistically build GEYSI into project implementation, activities, and reporting. They will provide technical support and lead on the Gender and Social Inclusion Assessment, develop tools to capture data that allows for analysis with a GEYSI lens, and work closely with other technical specialists, field supervisors, and county teams to holistically integrate GEYSI across all Activity and MEL components. Additional key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

·       Work with program team during work planning sessions to identify GEYSI gaps and entry points for GEYSI interventions.

·       Support technical teams in creating value propositions that support inclusive business investments in the agricultural market systems for IA2F partnerships.

·       Use a private-sector approach to implement sustainable social inclusion interventions in market systems to achieve transformational and inclusive outcomes for the IA2F Activity

·       Work closely with the CLA/MEL Team to:

o   Develop and review verifiable GEYSI specific results and indicators to monitor the gender impact of the program and ensure the achievement of GEYSI specific targets

o   conduct activity reporting and document GEYSI specific learning briefs, success stories, case studies, and best practices and,

o   support technical teams to ensure GEYSI is mainstreamed throughout the activity’s planning, implementation, and reporting

·       Generate GEYSI-related learning questions and periodically design, collect, and analyze data

·       Provide input in the integration of GEYSI in market and constraints analysis, plans, strategies, data instruments, etc.

·       Create the women’s economic empowerment action plan and incorporating it into the overall workplan.

·       Create an Annual Inclusive Development Assessment to identify opportunities for advancing women’s and girls’ empowerment and promoting A2F for marginalized & underrepresented populations.

·       Act as general advisory to the COP on all GEYSI related issues.

Minimum Qualifications:
·       Bachelor’s degree in gender studies, economics, international development, business administration or related field. Master’s degree highly desired.  Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive professional international development experience in GEYSI programming in an agricultural, inclusive access to finance or market systems context.

·       Experience with inclusivity related to the financial sector, youth, gender equality, female empowerment, women’s economic empowerment, gender lens investing, and inclusive youth development, preferably related to the agricultural sector.
·       Experience supporting the integration of GEYSI considerations into MEL.
·       Knowledge of established approaches and best practices for integrating women, youth, and other historically excluded populations into access to finance, agriculture, and/or market systems programs.

·       Experience with USAID’s new Gender Policy and rules and regulations related to GEYSI required.

·       Exceptional interpersonal skills and fluency in written/spoken English required. Bengali language abilities highly desirable.
