The Services to be provided under the Assignment include providing operations support to the project to “Build Inclusive Business Ecosystems for Stabilization and Transformation” also known as the “BIBEST” project in the Mano River Union (MRU) being implemented in Sierra Leone and Liberia by the Mano River Union Secretariat as the Executing Agency based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. In collaboration with the Project Implementation Unit and the Executing Agency, this involves:
(i) Provide support for the organization and implementation of project study tours, supporting planned studies and supervision missions, support the preparation of the project’s mid-term review process, tracking project work plan activities and supporting work plan review meetings, timely preparation and review of correspondence, support the development and/or review of concept notes, project reports and project briefs as required;
(ii)Provide gender mainstreaming support to the Bank’s operations in West Africa, specifically, collaborate with program and project managers to propose the categorization of projects within the framework of the Gender Marker System;
(iii)Participate in operational missions and meetings; work with gender specialists and project managers to develop innovative approaches to projects for the integration of women in the development process and projects with components relating to the promotion of gender equality;
(iv)Support supervision and monitoring activities of Bank supported projects; assess the potential impact of proposed projects on gender equality and propose measures to reduce gender inequalities;
(v)Contribute to the development of indicatorsfor monitoring the impact of projects and programs;
(vi) Draft correspondence and project documents as required to promote partnerships and the implementation of the Bank’s Gender Strategy;
(vii)Contribute to the development of gender profiles and country diagnostic notes as well asother activities of other departments in the field of gender, when necessary.
