Job Purpose:
The PSEAH Coordinator will support the UN Resident Coordinator and the PSEA Task Force to drive inter-agency and UNCT level PSEA efforts, through enhanced synergy, collaboration, and collective accountability. The PSEAH Coordinator will play a key role in developing a cohesive system for collective PSEAH efforts in Bangladesh

You would be responsible for:
a. Support the PSEA in-country program
b. Coordinate the PSEA Networks
c. Strengthen PSEA within organizations
d. Engage Stakeholders
e. Establish/Strengthen an Inter-agency Complaints Mechanism
f. Survivor-Centered Assistance
g. Accountability, including investigations
h. Promote Information sharing

Qualifications and Experience: 
Education:  
Advanced university degree with specialization in areas such as gender studies, humanitarian affairs, human rights, law, social work, public health, development studies, international relations, and/or other related social science disciplines.
 
Knowledge and Experience: 
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the relevant fields, preferably in a humanitarian context.
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, gender based violence, staff misconduct and discipline, gender mainstreaming and/or humanitarian affairs.
  • Understanding of the international development and humanitarian architecture - Familiarity with the UN system and global coordination structures (e.g. IASC) - Proven ability to implement an Action Plan.
  • Experience in developing and facilitating training and capacity-building activities is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an ability to conduct face-to face and remote learning events.
  • Familiarity with data protection and confidentiality measures is an advantage
  • Experience working in humanitarian settings is highly desirable.

Languages: 
Fluency in English; knowledge of other official UN languages is preferable.
