Your role:
As an EiE Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical expertise in EiE for project planning, design, monitoring and evaluation.
- Supporting integrated response, especially between child protection, gender & EiE.
- Ensuring compliance with INEE minimum standards and other global and context specific guidelines.
- Supporting data collection, analysis, monitoring, and donor reporting of ongoing EiE projects.
- Leading EiE needs assessments and supporting analysis of assessment data.
- Developing training materials, guidance documents, and toolkits for EiE.
- Creating capacity building plans and providing training, and mentorship to program staff and partners.
- Engaging in institutional fundraising, proposal development, and donor engagement (e.g. Finnish MFA, ECHO and UN agencies).
- Representing Plan International Finland in EiE coordination mechanisms and forums.
- Promoting knowledge sharing and best practices in Inclusive and Quality Education programming, with focus on emergencies.
The position requires extensive travel and readiness to be deployed up to 40 % of your work time, sometimes to hazardous environments and at short notice. There will be periods of intense work which will require extended working hours.

What we are looking for
- University degree or equivalent in education or related field
- Extensive experience in planning, designing and implementing of integrated humanitarian programmes.
- Significant experience in working in a range of humanitarian contexts (e.g., refugee, conflict, rapid onset), preferably at least partly in field-based roles.
- Proven ability to provide technical support and oversight for EiE programs.
- Strong knowledge of and experience in INEE Minimum Standards and Education Cluster coordination.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience in education needs assessments, including rapid needs/MIRA assessments.
- Competence in designing and delivering trainings on EiE.
- Experience in programme design, and proposal development.
- Experience in gender-sensitive programming and working with gender and age marker. Experience in disability inclusion in education is an asset.
- Familiarity with integrated programming, especially in CPiE and EiE.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Portuguese is an asset.
- Excellent negotiation and representation skills.
- Experience and the ability to work comfortably with an ethnically diverse staff in a sensitive environment.
Location:
The position is based in Helsinki, Finland or in a location where Plan International has an office* that can employ on behalf of Plan Internation Finland, and you have the pre-existing right to work and live. Employment terms will be as per local conditions.
