What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
The Spring 2024 Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) Intern will work as part of the Save the Children, U.S. Gender Equality & Social Justice team. The Fellow will work alongside the Senior Director for Gender Equality & Social Justice and will collaborate closely with the Senior Advisor for SOGIESC and the global SOGIESC Task Team to advance 2024 priorities.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Impact
Projects may include:
- Supporting the development and roll-out of a standardized SOGIESC learning session
- Develop learning briefs, case studies on SOGIESC programming
- Support SOGIESC knowledge management and curate an internal & external collection on Resource Center
- Support the global SOGIESC Task Team to advance their 2024 goals and objectives
- Further, the SOGIESC Intern will support the Save the Children, U.S. Gender Equality & Social Justice team to advance their 2022-2024 gender equality strategy
Required Qualifications
- Must be an actively enrolled Associate, Bachelor, Master or other post high school education program, or have graduated within 6 months of program start date
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
- Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging
