The assignment will support the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education (MoECHE) to produce a comprehensive, quality-assured, and implementation-ready national teacher professional development plan aligned with the National Teacher Competency Framework (NTCF), the Somalia Education Act (2023), and the National Transformation Plan 2025–2029.
The assignment is designed to help establish a coherent national system for continuing professional development (CPD), strengthen quality assurance, support certification and monitoring systems, and improve teacher professional development across Federal Member States, school types, education levels, and Integrated Quranic Schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a gender and social inclusion analysis as part of the broader situational assessment for the TPDP.
- Identify barriers to participation in CPD, with specific attention to female teachers in rural, nomadic, and conflict-affected areas, as well as female teachers in Integrated Quranic Schools.
- Provide technical input to ensure that TPDP policies, systems, and implementation approaches are gender-responsive and inclusive.
- Advise on inclusive design of CPD delivery models, including approaches suitable for low-resource, low-connectivity, and geographically dispersed settings.
- Support the integration of gender and inclusion considerations into stakeholder consultations with MoECHE, Federal Member States, Teacher Training Colleges, teacher associations, Islamic scholar networks, and development partners.
- Contribute to the development of inclusive frameworks, tools, and recommendations across key work packages, including implementation planning, governance arrangements, quality assurance, M&E, and digital learning systems.
- Help ensure that indicators, baseline tools, and reporting approaches capture relevant sex-disaggregated and inclusion-sensitive data.
- Work closely with the Team Leader and other technical specialists to ensure that gender and inclusion considerations are embedded throughout all deliverables.
- Contribute written sections, recommendations, and review comments to ensure final outputs are practical, evidence-based, and responsive to the Somali context.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Education, Social Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in gender-responsive program design.
- Proven expertise in analyzing barriers to female teacher participation and broader social inclusion constraints.
- Experience designing or advising on inclusive CPD, education, or teacher development approaches in rural, nomadic, fragile, or low-resource settings.
- Strong understanding of equity and inclusion issues affecting access, participation, and retention in education systems.
- Experience working on donor-funded education programs, preferably in fragile or conflict-affected contexts.
- Professionally proficient and fluent in written and spoken English.

Working closely with WIEGO, partner networks and the ClimateWorks Foundation, you’ll help ensure the successful delivery of this ambitious two-year project while supporting collaboration, learning and strategic influence across the partnership. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical advice and guidance to participating networks and their affiliates on climate-related activities and approaches under the project.
- Facilitate communication, collaboration and peer learning between WIEGO, the networks and their affiliates, helping to build a stronger community of practice around climate action within the network.
- Represent the Network with donors, allies and other stakeholders in online communication and at in-person events that may require international travel.
- Identify opportunities for strategic engagement, alliance-building and influence within relevant urban climate policy and advocacy processes.
- Support networks and affiliates to monitor, document and communicate project outcomes, lessons learned and emerging evidence.
- Attend Project Steering Committee meetings to stay informed about all actions by WIEGO and the Networks under this project.
- Supervise a part-time Project Assistant.
- Support Networks and their affiliates in troubleshooting issues that arise under the project.
- Review and edit reports to the donor, ensuring they reflect up-to-the-minute climate change information and accurately convey the project’s outcomes and impact.
- Other duties that may arise over the course of the 2-year project, to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
About You- Has a Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in climate change, labour studies, urban development or a related discipline.
- Has experience managing complex projects, including budgets and reporting requirements.
- Has experience working with donors and managing donor relationships.
- Has experience working with grassroots organisations, membership-based organisations or social movements.
- Has previous experience supervising and supporting colleagues.
- Has excellent relationship-building and facilitation skills, with the ability to bring together organisations from different countries and contexts.
- Is an excellent communicator, able to adapt their style for a range of audiences, from community organisations to donors and external stakeholders.
- Can think strategically while remaining organised and practical in day-to-day delivery.
- Is comfortable working independently while collaborating across an international team.
- Is available to work up to 22.5 hours (3 days) per week.

A Gender Equality and AAP Programmatic Review is a structured process that enables UNICEF Country Offices (CO) to assess gaps, prioritize areas for COs to introduce or strengthen gender equality programming, enhance its AAP commitments and align their programmes with the UGEAP and SP. It supports prioritization and planning of programming and emergency preparedness to achieve the key gender equality results identified. The purpose of this consultancy is to support the undertaking of a GPR and AAP programmatic review in UNICEF Lebanon Country Office (LCO) to shape and refine country programme planning alignment with the UNICEF GEAP 2026-2029.
In anticipation of the new LCO Country Program Document 2028-2032, this consultancy will support a Gender Equality and AAP Programmatic Review. The last GPR in Lebanon was conducted in 2020 during the current CPD. Minimum requirements:- Education: Masters’ degree in gender, sociology, anthropology or related field

- Substantive and programmatic experience in gender equality and AAP issues, including effective feedback channels, with an understanding of social change, is essential.

The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) is the global organization of national parliaments. Tasks
Under the supervision of the Manager of the Gender Partnership Programme, the Junior Project Consultant will support the implementation of the project Support to women’s political participation in and through parliament, including in administrative and budgetary related tasks and monitoring and evaluation.
More specifically, the Junior Project Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Support the preparation, organization and execution of project activities.Provide administrative and logistical arrangements for project activities, both in-person and virtual, including venue, travel and accommodation bookings, interpretation services, technical support, and security measures.
- Carry out day-to-day administrative operations and proactively identify areas for improved efficiency.
- Prepare draft budgets of activities, keep track of expenditures, facilitate timely payments, record supporting documents, ensure compliance with institutional policies, and contribute to financial reporting.
- Support the preparation of agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Support procurement processes and liaise with stakeholders as needed.
- Coordinate document preparation, translation, and distribution, while ensuring timely submission and adherence to formatting guidelines.
- Support monitoring and evaluation of the project, including the collection of quantitative and qualitative data, the conduct of qualitative surveys, and the analysis of results, change and impact, as well as reporting.
- Prepare project-related correspondence, track incoming and outgoing communication, prioritize and route correspondence, draft responses, and track follow-up actions.
- Develop and maintain a well-organized digital and physical project filing system and ensure institutional knowledge retention, including archiving.
- Provide support with responding to queries and requests for information received.
- Co-operate with other Project team members.

About the AssignmentSPARK is seeking a Senior Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Advisor to

- Support the capacity assessments and capacity building plans for selected IPs, from a gender responsive/ transformative and social inclusion angle.
- Support the co-design process with selected IPs.
- Support the recruitment of SPARK staff from a gender lens.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the inclusion of underrepresented and vulnerable groups.
- Support preparation of in-country programme kick-off clinics.
- Support knowledge management, including regional networking and learning events.
- Provide GESI training and coaching to SPARK staff
- Inform programme learning and adaptive management based on the programme’s MEAL data.
- Support the continuous strengthening of SPARK's overall partnership approach by promoting gender-responsive and socially inclusive partnership models, tools and organisational practices that can be applied across SPARK's programmes.
Requirements and Qualifications- A Master's degree in Gender Studies, International Development, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, or another relevant discipline.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in gender equality and social inclusion within international development programmes, including a clear track record in gender transformation and women’s empowerment.
- Proven experience supporting entrepreneurship, MSME development, private sector development, or women's economic empowerment initiatives.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and delivering organisational capacity strengthening interventions.
- Experience working with international donors, preferably the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union, or comparable bilateral or multilateral organisations.
- Experience in Morocco, Tunisia, or Northern Africa more generally is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge of French and/or Arabic is considered a strong asset.
