Major Duties & Responsibilities:
A, Coordination
- Coordinate (internal/external) with relevant stakeholders and health actors (UN agencies, Government agencies, I/NGOs, and local partners), position NCA as an ASRH response agency.
- Develop and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders such as refugee return affair service (RRS) and UNHCR to ensure close collaboration with the government.

D, Monitoring and Reporting
- Establish SRH integration indicators and monitor progress.

E, Advocacy and Resource Mobilization
- Advocate for SRH integration in humanitarian response plans and funding proposals.

About You
Minimum Qualification Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, or Midwifery.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in SRH programming in humanitarian settings.
- Strong knowledge of MISP, GBV guidelines, and multi-sectoral coordination.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with cluster coordination mechanisms and humanitarian architecture.
- Very good communication skills
- Familiarity with government and NGO, especially RRS and UNHCR, field operations in Gambela refugee response.

Trans rights HealthSummary
GATE is seeking to recruit a Health Officer to support the implementation of our health programs, with the goal of advancing health rights and access for trans and gender diverse communities. The Health Officer will work directly under the supervision of the Health Lead to support high-level international health rights advocacy and assist GATE members to strengthen national and regional health advocacy work.
The Health Officer will combine a deep understanding of international health systems with experience in health rights advocacy for the trans and gender diverse community. - Help coordinate production of multimedia assets (ex. graphics, videos, presentations) in partnership with staff and external vendors.
Events (in-person and virtual)- Plan and execute a range of in-person and virtual events for a diversity of stakeholders (i.e. all staff retreats, external events at large global gatherings such as Women Deliver) from start to finish, in collaboration with the Communications team, Executive Office, and other relevant teams and/or stakeholders, including event planning fluid teams

II. Job Summary
The GBV Program Officer is a senior position, responsible for leading the design, implementation, and monitoring the ARISE project, which is purely GBV focused project, that will be implemented in South Wollo Zone of Amhara Region. The aim is to execute, facilitate and exercise effective day-to-day coordination and management of the projects according to the Network’s and Donor, general standards and institutional culture. The GBV Program Officer supports the operations efforts to fulfil NEWA’s mandate and associated obligations on GBV prevention, risk mitigation and response in South Wollo Zone, based on policy and guidance. S/he collaborates closely with the NEWA head office staffs and the field Program team and strengthens working relations with donors, partners, members and stakeholders involved in GBV prevention, risk mitigation and response. All NEWA staffs are accountable to perform their duties as reflected in their job description.
The GBV program Officer contributes to ensuring ARISE project meet the mission and objectives of NEWA as a national agency for GE, WE, and the fight against GBV/VAWG. The incumbent makes sure effectiveness, efficiency and meeting quality standards by working in a team, closely monitoring project and budget and organizing logistics. The GBV Program Officer support the ARISE project in managing the day-to-day project activities, facilitating trainings, provide technical support for the economic support for survivors, monitoring the project officers and social workers and over all field level project management. The GBV Program Officer closely works with the field project officers and social worker and with the head office Program Coordinator, Program Manager, Finance & Administration Dept, and the M&E unit, the communication.
Qualifications
BA degree in the field of social science (gender studies/sociology/anthropology/social studies/ Public Health specializing in the field of women and development, or closely related field)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conducting data collection and research (quantitative and qualitative) and supporting the delivery and presentation of research outputs.
- Communicating and sharing research findings through reports, briefs, presentations, and other media.
- Supporting the design, organization, facilitation, and documentation of GESI-oriented trainings, learning events, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Contributing to engagement and fundraising efforts for the Energy Program, particularly on GESI-related components.
- Providing additional support to IISD projects in other countries or international initiatives, as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A master’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, public policy, environment, development studies, or a relevant interdisciplinary program or field. Applicants without a master’s degree are welcome to apply if they can demonstrate equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in Indonesia, the Philippines, and/or Vietnam in any of the following: GESI mainstreaming, energy, climate, or sustainable development, policy research, capacity development or stakeholder engagement.
